Lyrics:
So said the ranger to the corps:
"What's the time there?
...seems like an age
since you hatched your futile plan".
Winter in the Andes
all out misery
so you're listening in
to everything
No it needn't take long to learn their mistake
half an hour
easy to pass the night away on borrowed time
The last of the dogs have gone to rot
make your rest here
we'll take a lock of hair and say
that you sleep now

The Frozen Aisle
03:40
|

Lyrics:
He took the late flight home
then opened up his door
to the gaze of a stranger
Made for the local store
where he spied his desired
wandering the aisle
"I've seen you before
far from town
on a long-forgotten day
But who we were
I can't recall
for the life of me"
She looked around once more
and thought she heard a voice
over the speaker
Then a familiar tune
echoing out
to only static and noise

Empty Morning
03:15
|
|||
Lyrics:
I found a door
You know the number...
Oh it grows light again
I wake with an open hand
And can't remember
Yet still i yearn to
Recover it from
The empty morning
I have a key
You know the answer…

Reaching the water's edge and the sky overhead
Is the eye of a hurricane
The open shore so still
Wherever your reach falls
You'll never find me
Far out to sea
Never before did I dare to depart from your isle
But darling we said the wrong things
My only hope, escape
Out on the ebb tide
You'll never find me
Far out to sea

Pictures From Home
03:23
|
|||
Now that I have the evidence
I'll head for the distant border
First I'll hit the trail and when I reach the road
Outrun the approaching convoy
I heard the noise and could not sleep
Turning the whole night over
She was not the first to go yet everyone
Recoiled from where they found her
And who are these faces
Pale and unmoved
Immune to my films
The hearing adjourned
What of this city
Strangers and shades
Scraping the sky
At sea I lay in a lonely hold
Keeping my hidden camera
Safe from the raging storms above
That now I wish had drowned me

What Does Joan Say?
03:49
|
|||
Don't blow your lines dear
you know there is no choice to be had
Just give it some time dear and you'll see
there was never a chance
Their side is sleeping
now is the time
Here is the hour dear
that we end
this reprieve and decide
Or all that you love dear
will burn out
under blistering skies
See, I have prayed for this
everyday
A last minute call spares the fate of us all
not a soul will
learn how we made such a narrow escape
A ring in the night and the flickering light
dims to green then
she sighs and swears to try again
